New Feature: Coupon Codes

  • You asked for it and we listened. Pivotshare is thrilled to announce one of our most intricate and requested features ever: Coupon Codes! But don’t be fooled, as this is not your ordinary coupon code system.

    The new Coupon Codes feature is remarkably robust. It allows you to offer discounts on both videos and subscriptions. You can choose the dollar amount or percentage to discount, where to apply the coupon (subscriptions, rentals, purchases), who it can apply to (new customers only, everyone, etc), when it will expire (after X uses or on a certain date), and other usage restrictions.

    For example, you could create a coupon where only the first 100 new subscribers to your channel get a 25% discount off their subscription price for their first 3 months. You could, alternatively, create a coupon where any video on your channel is discounted by $2 until December 26th for both new and existing customers. The number of possible coupon setup combinations reaches into the thousands. Seriously!

    Coupon Codes have proven to be an excellent way to entice new customers into making transactions. After tests with some of our select publishers, we saw an increase in number of customers driven to the test channels as well as number of transactions made per customer.

    To set up your Coupon Codes, log into your Publisher Console. Under the Channel Settings menu, select Coupons. Follow the step-by-step process to customize your coupon settings and when finished, hit Save Coupon and you’re good to go! Please keep in mind that once you create the coupon, changes to its settings cannot be made. You can, however, toggle it to be active or inactive. You can create as many coupon codes as you want!
