Preparing for the upcoming holiday season, Pivotshare decided to give their clients an early gift by unveiling their complete channel design reboot this week. The company says they have gathered customer input from the last year of business and compiled this data to inform the design and UI directions that these new layouts took. Already known for the clean feel of their channels and unobtrusiveness of their embed player, Pivotshare hopes that this new design scheme will further differentiate the company in the market.
Head of design for Pivotshare Ryan Ford summed up the company’s goal for the look and feel, “Our goal with Pivotshare’s new Channels offering was to rebuild from the ground up and to utilize the latest and greatest in web technology so that our publishers, no matter their size, could have an incredible and market-leading video sales destination of their very own. Naturally, our focus is on the brands of the publishers, and not on ourselves, which is why the design language for our new Channels is more flexible than ever before.” Keeping in mind the growing use of mobile devices in the entire media lifecycle, which encompasses both the purchasing and viewing experiences, Ford went onto explain that the new layouts were “built to work incredibly and intuitively on all devices, with special attention made to customer funnels and up-selling to help direct customers to purchases.”
Also taking into account the growth in sales directly attributed to social networking platforms, the Pivotshare team has also completely reconstructed our Pivotshare integration systems. Statistically speaking, the majority of interactions on Facebook happen right on the user’s stream. In light of this fact, whenever a Pivotshare video is shared using our tools, we embed an in-stream video player complete with a preview playback and a clear purchase button, a process that will increase not only discoverability but also consumer conversion rates.
There are many other improvements to our system that we are thrilled to now offer to our customers. The new channels are built on an HTML5 foundation, with brand new methodologies that allow them to be faster, contain better SEO for higher search results, and are easier for our team to update, which will result in quicker video access and reduced playback issues. Our system now also supports video collections, allowing our users to organize their media into groups according to any criteria they choose such as volumes or seasons, resulting in an easier shopping experience for their customers.
The new Pivotshare channels also offer better social integration, allowing customers to link their media to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn as well as a host of others. Our Facebook sharing tool even includes a preview play button built right into the stream. With consumer activity rising every day directly from social media, this innovative integration was designed again with the goal of raising conversions as well as revenue.
The entire Pivotshare team is excited to hear what you think so feel free to drop us a line. We look forward to creating new ways to put your media in the most beautiful light possible. To sign up for your own beautiful Pivotshare channel, simply click here!
